Summary: This satire of a traditional Dick & Jane primer is full of dry humor and sarcasm. It is most appropriate for older children who can understand the joke. The artwork is perfect in its simplicity. The book made me and my 9 year old laugh out loud several times! I think the ant farm story was my favorite.
Classroom Ideas: I would use this book to introduce the idea of sarcasm and parody to upper elementary students.
