Summary:  Pardon me while I wipe away a tear-- my son's favorite book when he was two! "King Bidgood's in the Bathtub and he won't get out." Everyone tries to get him out, but no one succeeds instead he just orders them into the tub with him. (my favorite would be either the feast or the fishing in the tub!) Finally a young page just pulls the plug on the whole nonsense! The highly detailed illustrations invite readers to stare at them for hours.

Classroom Ideas: King Bidgood's stubborness would make a great character study. You could also talk about  the problem solving skills of the page. Younger kids could respond to the story by saying what they would do to try and get the king out of the tub.
