Summary: A line of people waiting to ride the roller coaster is introduced with each character distinctly drawn. Finally they get to the front of the line and the coaster takes off slowly (shown by short words with periods after them). Woosh...the coaster goes downhill quickly (shown by long sentences and large red text and many many quick page turns). When the ride is over, the text returns to normal...until someone decides to ride again.

Classroom Ideas: There are many examples of onomatopoeia and the pacing of this book is absolutely perfect.
